Most Holy Father, Hallowed be Thy Name,
We come before You seeking truth as You have revealed it, not as men imagine it.
Order our hearts to love what You have spoken, to reason rightly from Your Word,
and to walk in humility where You have given understanding.
Guard us from partial truth, omission, and human wisdom,
and anchor us firmly in the whole counsel You have made known through Scripture.
Lead us through this Journey—from truth, to obedience, to faithfulness—
that we may know You, honor Your Son, and remain steadfast until the end.
In the Name of Your beloved Son Jesus Christ — our beloved Savior, Lord & King, Amen.
Every person searches for truth about life, meaning, and eternity. Follow this journey step by step as we explore the most important questions of existence — from the reality of the universe to the hope of eternity.
Morality
Across cultures people recognize right and wrong. Where does morality come from?
Explore Step →The Journey is a deliberate movement toward Truth.
It is not driven by emotion, volume, repetition, popularity, or human authority.
It is guided by Scripture examined carefully, understood in context, and verified honestly.
The Journey exists because truth matters—and because error has consequences.
Truth is not assumed; it is tested.
In this Journey:
- Truth is constrained to what Scripture reveals
- Meaning is determined by context
- Partial truth is not treated as full truth
- Omission is recognized as distortion
- Conclusions must rest on sound foundations
- Statements must connect by valid reasoning
When reason is abandoned, conflict and rage rise.
Scripture requires a better way.
Acts 17:11 establishes the biblical standard for handling truth.
- Received with readiness — openness to hear
- Examined in Scripture — not accepted blindly
- Verified for accuracy — tested against God's word
- Reviewed continually — searched daily, not once
This is not skepticism. This is faithful discernment.
Every claim in The Journey passes through two guardrails:
- The Study — What does Scripture actually say?
- The Response — What does Scripture require in response?
No claim stands without Scripture.
No Scripture stands without context.
No conclusion stands without verification.
Truth is not merely information. Truth is personal and directional.
- Jesus Christ — the Way, the Truth, and the Life
- The Father — the future eternal home (Heaven)
- Scripture — the revealed truth to be examined
- The Journey — the path from hearing → understanding → responding
This study seeks to determine, from Scripture alone, whether providing orientation and orderly context before Scripture-driven teaching is consistent with biblical precedent, and to clarify that such orientation does not create doctrine.
Nehemiah 8:8 (KJV) — "So they read distinctly from the book, in the Law of God; and they gave the sense, and helped them to understand the reading."
Ecclesiastes 12:9–10 (KJV) — "And moreover, because the Preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yes, he pondered and sought out and set in order many proverbs…"
This study seeks to determine, from Scripture alone, under whose authority AD30 operates and what purpose Christ assigns to teaching, discipling, and instructing others in His word.
Acts 1:8 (KJV) — "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
2 Timothy 2:2 (KJV) — "And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also."
This study seeks to determine, from Scripture alone, that truth is governed by God's word, and that any tool used to teach must remain constrained to Scripture rather than opinion, tradition, or speculation.
"Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth." (John 17:17)
This study seeks to determine, from Scripture alone, the mission of evangelism—proclaiming the gospel, calling for obedience to Christ, and guiding believers toward faithful endurance.
"Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you… that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures." (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
This study seeks to determine, from Scripture alone, whether God has made truth knowable and whether humans are accountable to recognize what God has revealed.
This study seeks to determine, from Scripture alone, whether the human experience of life's brevity, toil, and mortality drives sincere reflection that motivates seeking God's truth.
This study seeks to determine, from Scripture alone, whether God invites the sincere seeker to come, reason, and turn toward His revealed instruction for truth.
This study seeks to determine, from Scripture alone, that God's word is truth and that the seeker must measure claims by Scripture rather than tradition or opinion.
This study seeks to determine, from Scripture alone, that God is one and to recognize the biblical names/titles used for God in the revelation of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit of God.
- Scripture affirms one God
- Scripture presents the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit distinctly
- Scripture does not define God using post-biblical terminology
- Scripture must be allowed to speak without imposed systems
This study seeks to determine, from Scripture alone, the full scope of sin as God defines it.
- Grace is from God
- Grace is given through Jesus Christ
- Grace is a gift, not earned
- Grace is not permission to continue in sin
- Grace is entered and stood in
- Grace is grown in
Works After are the Scripture-defined actions of a saved life—not to earn salvation, but because salvation has already been received.
After baptism and salvation, Scripture describes how believers are to walk, obey, serve, witness, and grow in Christ.
